HISTORY

Get Fresh Companies was founded in 1990 by Dominic Caldara and John Wise, with 2 delivery trucks and some rented cooler space. Today, 25 years later, Get Fresh Companies is one of the largest distributors and fresh-cut processors in the region, serving Southern Nevada and the Southwest. When we started in 1990, we believed excellent service and high quality was the key to long-term relationships with clients. Today, our operating philosophy continues to be centered on treating each customer as if they were our only customer. For clients, this translates into field-fresh product, consistent service and optimal performance from every service level in the organization.

FACILITIES

Get Fresh Companies operates out of a fully-secured, 140,000 square foot, SQF Level 2 Certified distribution center, completed in 2008, which inventories and distributes over 2,500 line items of bulk and fresh cut fruits & vegetables. Beginning with a cold chain management system at the fully sealed dock, the facility is equipped with 12 separate coolers, a 3,800 square foot freezer, 4 ripening rooms, a tomato processing repack operation, and a 20,000 square foot fresh cut processing facility, and an in-house food safety and quality assurance laboratory. Get Fresh Companies’ facility is fully sustainable and is a green business certified operation.

SERVING YOU

Customer service is our priority. Incoming orders are taken live, 7 days a week. We can fill orders at a rate greater than 99%. Additionally, our Purchasing Department has over 200 yrs combined purchasing experience, which allows us to work closely with growers and shippers on direct purchasing programs. 90%-95% of all commodities we sell are purchased directly, ensuring the best price possible and consistent quality on all products – which we deliver 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, and can accomodate a delivery window within 2hrs, anytime within this period.

FLEET

Get Fresh Companies operates a modern distribution fleet of 45 fully refrigerated trailers and bob tail trucks, which are all fueled on-site. Each unit is equipped with 2-way communication dispatch systems, GPS tracking and a sophisticated logistics system to insure our customers’ product is delivered safely, with the care and efficiency expected. Real-time tracking software allows Get Fresh to plan delivery routes, schedule and track deliveries in real-time, and receive alerts of plan deviations. The detailed reports and analytics of the Green Mile tracking system not only improves productivity, but reduces costs and increases customer satisfaction – for the best customer experience possible.

DISTRIBUTION AREA

Get Fresh Companies distribution area encompasses hundreds of foodservice operators, retail, B&I and wholesale operators, from the smallest independent restaurant to national and regional retailers, and includes some of the largest hotel and casino resort properties in the world. Beyond the Las Vegas Strip, our service area spans over 500 miles of the southwest – from the heart of historic Route 66 in the historic mining town of Kingman, Arizona, to the desert oasis on the Colorado River of Laughlin, Nevada, to the spectacular canyons of St. George, Utah.
